 Einstein's Theory of Relativity first predicted the existence of gravitational waves

The visionary physicist first predicted the existence of the mysterious waves – enormous close-to-light-speed ripples in the fabric of space and time – in 1916.
And now an elite team of American scientists are likely to announce that they have proved the existence of the so-called "fabric of space-time".
The announcement will end a torturous search for proof of one of the most important aspects of Einstein's Theory of Relativity.
